WHAT P06DD MEANS

On applicable 3.6L Ram 1500s, P06DD means commanded oil-pressure control did not create expected feedback. Verify oil/filter/cap, use dye for visible leaks, compare mechanical and scan pressure and test control circuitry before pump replacement. TSB 09-003-25 covers 2022–2025 DT 3.6L ERC vehicles with P06DD and leakage, and warns that complete oil-filter assemblies are being replaced unnecessarily when the source is a cap O-ring, valve cover, housing gasket or another leak.

Ram 1500 spans older Dodge Ram, DS Classic and DT platforms with 3.6L Pentastar, 4.7L, 5.7L HEMI, EcoDiesel, eTorque and newer powertrains. Cylinder banks, oil control, EVAP leak detection, cam sensors and catalyst layouts differ. Confirm platform, VIN, engine sales code, market and PCM level before diagnosis.
